Leap Of Faith
I’m a 20-something ready to work… am I prepared?
- College Graduation — Check
- Interview Suits/Skirts — Check
- Foundation of Knowledge — wait, what?
At least from personal experience I graduated college with a BS in Advertising, a whole new world of life experience, a growing amount of debt… and not a clue what to do with it. It may not be the same for you, but I know there are other people out there with the same problem.
All I could do to help myself out was get started anywhere I could. I made a promise to myself that I would climb higher with each job – even if I started at the bottom.
Several years have passed now, I have had 3 or 4 jobs (all in different areas of marketing and which I left on my own terms), I have lived in 3 different states, 2 apartments and have one thing in common with my former self… I’m wondering what to do next!
I’m not claiming to have the answers, but welcome to Climb The Bottom: a look into the realizations, observations and breakthroughs of a young marketer. Stick around, you may learn a thing or two.
I’ll start off my posts with just one tip… take the leap of faith! Whether your a new marketer wondering if you should take that lower paying job (and leave your great retail career) or you’ve been stuck in a job for a while but are afraid to jump up to that next run. Take The Leap – There will be something to grab onto.
